Who we are

bara1 (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides a personal AI health coaching application accessible at bara1.app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect

• —Account information: email address, and if you sign in with Google or Apple, your name and profile information from that provider
• —Conversations with your coach: the messages you exchange with bara1, stored to give the coach memory of your history
• —Profile data your coach learns about you: things you share in conversation (goals, habits, lifestyle context) that the coach uses to personalize suggestions
• —Usage data: when you're active, which habits you've been given, session timing
• —Payment information: if you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe — we do not store your card details ourselves
• —Voice data: if you use voice mode, your speech is processed to convert it to text (and your coach's replies to speech) and is not retained beyond what's needed to respond
• —Health and wellness information you choose to share: anything about your health, sleep, exercise, or wellbeing you tell your coach, and (if you connect a wearable in the future) data from that device

Why we collect it

• —To operate your account and provide the coaching service
• —To let your coach remember you across sessions — this personalization is core to how bara1 works
• —To process payments and manage your subscription
• —To improve the product and fix problems
• —To communicate with you about your account (not marketing, unless you opt in)

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run bara1:

• —Supabase — database hosting (EU, Frankfurt)
• —Anthropic — powers the AI coach conversations
• —ElevenLabs — text-to-speech voice generation
• —OpenAI — speech-to-text for voice input
• —Stripe — payment processing
• —Vercel — application hosting

We do not sell your data. We do not share your conversations or health information with advertisers.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you're in the EU/EEA (including Sweden), you have the right to:

• —Correct inaccurate data
• —Request deletion of your data
• —Export your data
• —Object to or restrict certain processing

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it (e.g., payment records for tax purposes).

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

bara1's coach is an AI system that provides general wellness information and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as bara1 evolves. We'll note the date of the latest update at the top of this page.
